Episode[]

Jirard talks about how he likes the game design of Super Metroid, how the game shows you how to do something without telling you. In this case, how an alien shows you how to use the Speed Booster to get out of an otherwise inescapable hole.

The progress in this episode is not much. Jirard finds another reserve tank, and finds an Energy tank in his favorite room. The room has an Energy Tank out in the open, right behind an unseeable pit, which he calls a "troll bait." After finding more Missile Power-ups, Jirard fights his favorite boss in the game: Crocomire. After defeating him, he does a minor sequence break to get another Energy Tank that needed the Gravity Suit to get to.

Progress[]

  • Reserve Tank aquired
  • Energy Tank aquired
  • Crocomire defeated
  • 2nd Energy Tank aquired

Question of the Week[]

Alex: What kind of car do you guys have?

Alex drives a 2001 White Mercury Villager.

Greg drives a 1992 Blue Volvo 240 Station Wagon.

Jirard drives a 2005 Unknown color Toyota Matrix.

Frazier drives an Unknown Car with a 2005 make.

Jirard: What game teaches you how to play without telling you how to play?

Jirard answered with Mega Man X, how Egoraptor had said in his Sequilitis Video, that the game teaches you all of it's basic elements within the intro stage. Alex answered Aban Hawkins & the 1000 Spikes is, in his opinion, one of the most well designed, simplistic games ever designed. It tells you that the game will be full of surprises, and gives you 1000 lives. During the game, you just go and you learn the game. Greg answered (wrong) that Super Mario 3D land where when you die a-lot, you get a suit that lets you fly over the level, which spoils the game.

Final Word[]

Jirard: Banarness.

Fraizer: Pokemon Master. (after which, Greg says he isn't asking anyone else, then asks Alex)

Alex: Fe-Whale.
