Mega Man X, known in Japan as Rockman X (ロックマンX?), is a video game developed by Capcom for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It is the first Mega Man game for the 16-bit console and the first game in the Mega Man X series, a spin-off of the original Mega Man series that began on the SNES's predecessor, the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Mega Man X was first published in Japan on December 12, 1993 and was released in both North America and Europe the following year. This game takes place a century after the original Mega Man series.

The Completionist[edit | edit source]

Originally uploaded to Jirard's old channel, ThatOneVideoWebsite, this episode served as a debut to the Completionist. As this was the very first episode, Jirard was trying to get a feel for the show, while also explaining the show. Jirard praises Mega Man X in almost every aspect, from its style and visuals, upgrades in gameplay from the NES series, the upgrade system, and music.

As of Spetember 1st, 2017, this video is no longer on youtube due to Greg's request of removing all videos of him on the channel.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Throughout the episode, Greg is not introduced at all, but rather his disambiguate voice is heard throughout the episode. However, in the remastered version of this episode, Greg is introduced.
  • Originally, the fourth "level" (or topic) was replay-ability.
  • The very first iteration of the original review showcased Jirard being what would now be considered uncharacteristically foul-mouthed. Over time, Jirard came to realize the video no longer held up to the standards of acceptable behavior he then carried, leading him to rescript and partially remake the video. Both the original and rescripted versions of the review were removed following the purge of the first 120 episodes of the Completionist.
  • In the New Game Plus video, Jirard stated that, for the very original video, he spent six or seven weeks doing research, completing the game, and writing the script for the video.
