Star Fox 64 (スターフォックス64 Sutā Fokkusu Rokujūyon), known in Australia and Europe as Lylat Wars, is a 3D scrolling shooter video game themed around aircraft combat for the Nintendo 64 video game console. It is a reboot of the original Star Fox, and the only game in the Star Fox series to be released on the Nintendo 64.
It was also the first Nintendo 64 game to include support for the Rumble Pak, with which it initially came bundled. The game received positive ratings from reviewers and critics who praised its smooth animation, detailed visuals, voice acting, and use of multiple gameplay paths.

The Completionist[]
Star Fox 64 was reviewed for The Completionist on March 24, 2012. It wasn't uploaded to ThatOneVideoGamer, Jirard's main channel, but instead to TheGameStation as a spotlight on The Completionist, trying to attract more viewers.
On April 11th, 2014, the episode was re-uploaded to YouTube, after some copyright issues, except this time it appeared to ThatOneVideoGamer, with a few minor changes to avoid copyright troubles.
Jirard finds the story simplistic and fun, making him more invested in the titular Fox McCloud. Special attention is given to the Rumble Pack, which in his eyes added to the immersion of the game. He also gives praise to the voice acting for adding to the story and being iconic.
Jirard's found of the variety in gameplay, including all-range mode, Landmaster, and underwater sections. The way the story splits depending on the player's actions is also well-received. Multiplayer is also praised.
